Redcliffe Women’s golf is a vibrant community of like-minded individuals who enjoy their outdoor sport, social activities and staying fit and active. We embrace new members and have a wonderful mentoring support program called “Reddy Roses” that will get you started on your golf journey. With around 100 members and 2 dedicated women’s competitions each week you can be sure to get a game and have fun too.
There’s no age limit on our membership and we have a wonderful Get Into Golf program through Golf Australia that will provide you all the right introductions to the sport. You can register directly here and just use 4019 as the postcode and Redcliffe’s programs will come up. https://www.golf.org.au/getintogolf/program-search/. In addition, you would be welcome to join our 2-month Trial Membership, which enables you to join up, be covered by insurance, join in competitions and meet the Redcliffe women.
A terrific way to experience our club, facilities and hospitality.
Are you keen to transfer from your current club, and do you have a GA handicap? We have an expanding population on the Peninsula and welcome new members who have recently moved to the area. You can contact our Women’s committee to register your interest by email to firstname.lastname@example.org. Our President will be delighted to chat and answer any questions you may have about joining.
Our PGA professionals also run a range of coaching sessions to hone your skills. Just talk to the friendly team in the Pro-Shop to book in.
Socially we have a number of away events during the year visiting other clubs and competing in various formal and social events. Our Queensland Senior Ladies Association has strong local representation and we travel throughout South East Queensland district competing in their very well-organized events.
The Redcliffe women field strong teams in the BDLGA Pennants competition. In 2024 we are again fielding both Diamond and Sapphire teams – see all the information here https://bdlga.com.au/golf/pennants
We have an active Women’s subcommittee which has a broad range of duties and activities including co-ordinating and hosting a number of events during the year. Significantly on our calendar is our major cancer charity fundraising day “Dorothy Banks” which celebrates the life of a former women’s president. Our local businesses are significant sponsors of our competitions and work hard to engage and promote their organisations. One of the club’s major sponsors “Shields Street Eats” provides a significant financial incentive for a Hole in One on the 11th in our twice weekly competitions.
