Course Care

To ensure that our course continues to be presented at a high standard, players are asked to undertake some simple course care actions and to repair damage they or others may have caused.

You can help by:

  • • Repairing plug marks on greens
    • Raking bunkers after use
    • Carrying a sand bucket and repair divots
    • Limit Damage to greens
    • Obey the Rules for Motorised Cart Use
    • Not littering the course
    • Obeying directional signs, yellow lines and hoop placements

Repairing Plug Marks on Greens

• Always start at the back of the mark and push forward with the repairer.
• Use repairer around all sides and slowly ease turf toward the centre of the mark. Do not lift the soil upwards.
• Lightly tap down with putter.

Raking Bunkers after useBefore leaving a bunker, a player should carefully fill up and smooth over all holes and footprints made.

• Always enter the bunker at the lowest point.
• Pull rake toward you as you exit the bunker.
• If required rake other affected areas.
• Do not pile sand at the edge of the bunker. Push back excess sand.
• Always leave rake in the flat of the bunker with the handle pointing toward the tee of the hole being played.

Cary a Sand Bucket and Repair Divots
• Remove any loose turf from the affected area.
• Knock in all sides of the edge of the divot with your club or your shoe.
• Fill with small quantity of sand.

Limit Damage to Greens
Players should ensure that when placing the flagstick on the green no damage is done to the putting green and that the flag stick is properly replaced in the hole before players leave the green.

Players are requested not to use their putter to remove the ball from the hole.
Rules for Motorised Cart Use

• Carts must be driven on cart paths where practical.
• Except when on a formed cart path:
Carts must not be driven closer than 10 meters to any green. 
Carts must not be driven closer than 5 meters to any Tee.
• A maximum of two persons per cart
• Carts should be maintained in good working order .eg. No undue noisy mufflers.
• 90degree Rule
This rule must be abided by when in place on wet days.
The cart must be driven along the rough section of fairway, until level with your ball, walk out and play the ball and then walk back and continue driving in the “rough”. Keep well clear of Tees and Greens.
• Please consider your fellow golfer and do not drive close to golfers who are putting out or are about to strike the ball.
• No “hitting the skids”, wheelies or other course damaging driving.
